What is your motto?
What is your sport and fitness background?
I started playing basketball in high school. I wanted to get stronger on the court, so I started going to the gym when I was 16 years old.
What are your current favourite workout music tracks?
Hip-hop. Jay Z is my favourite.
How often do you work out? What is your typical training routine?
Normally, I train 5 times per week: a full body workout twice, basketball training twice, and one plyometric training session.
What do you like to do when you have time off?
I like summer! I like to go hiking, and I enjoy the sunshine at the beach.
What is your typical eating routine, from breakfast to dinner?
I like to have cornflakes for breakfast and chicken for lunch, because it’s close to the gym. Sometimes l like to have Pho tai for lunch as well. I eat chicken or steak for dinner.
What is your favourite cheat meal?
Hotpot is one of my favourites. I like to have it occasionally with my family and friends.
What is your top tip for clients pursuing their goals?
I like to plan a bodyweight workout for clients when they cannot train with me more than 3 times per week. You have to be more disciplined when you cannot train with the trainers 3 times per week. The reason I like bodyweight drills for clients is that there’s no equipment needed, so there’s no excuse to skip the workout. You can do it anytime, anywhere.
What would you never be caught dead doing in the gym?
There aren’t any specific exercises that I hate, but if you really need me to choose, I will say any ring exercise.
If you could only do one exercise in the gym for a month, what would it be?
Barbell thrusters! It’s a good full body exercise.
You are granted a magical chance to become really talented at one thing. What would it be?
I’d be an NBA basketball player, for sure!
What would someone have to do to get on your ‘favourite clients’ list?
Communicate with the trainers! I always like to hear feedback from clients. It helps me have a better understanding of them and can help me to improve as well.
